CLIENTS & CASES MANAGER IN TXDOCS BASIC AND TXDOCS STANDARD
This new pane on the left of the main TXdocs screen offers an easy overview of your clients & cases and has easily accessible buttons to add and edit client & cases. Please explore the right click menu on the client and cases to find convenient shortcuts.
FORMAT WIZARD
- Presets: The Format Wizard now features 2 buttons to quickly configure TXdocs to style your documents: The ‘Modern Style’ preset matches the recommendations of Matthew Butterick’s “Typography for Lawyers”. The ‘Traditional Style’ preset will ensure that your documents look more like classic legal documents. Obviously, the presets are there for your convenience – you can fully customize the style that the Format Wizard applies to your documents!
- New Options:
- Multi-line headers and footers, including the option for a different font size and font style.
- ‘Space before’ and ‘space after’ support for titles, sub headings and section headings.
- Top margin and bottom margin support – completing the support for customization of all 4 margins.
REDACTOR ADDED TO EFILING
A new step has been added to the ‘New eFiling’ window to allow the redaction of documents that you eFile. This new feature works with the state provided redaction tool to guarantee compatibility with the state’s systems. The redaction step can be easily skipped when redaction is not needed.
- Updated Probate’s Heirship Tree printout to show relations and living status.
- Autocomplete can now be disabled when needed, by tapping the ‘insert’ key on your keyboard.
- Fixed an issue preventing the modification of the number of licenses in the Firm Settings window.
- Improved enforcement of the entry of the required fields for clients and cases.
- Improved the display of the forms of the Family Law Inventory.
- Added ability to remove the default county for the Local Forms.
- Income report: New totals for the number of payments, number of cases and a useful split of the income between payments received and trust withdrawals.
- NEW: “tracking only” timeslips enable tracking the time spent on a case without billing for that time, for instance when you have taken on the case for a fixed fee.
- NEW: Case Status report in Billing Manager to get a quick overview of your cases and show how much is billed and unbilled. It also lists the total amount due as well as the current balance of the trust account if applicable.
- Updated Case Manager to prevent showing the statements of the case twice
- New billing setting to use a more precise calculation of the timeslip total
- Updated Calendar: the personal preference for the first day of the week (Sunday or Monday) for the week view is now correctly applied
- Updated Email Manager to show the ‘Unsent’ tab first
- Automatic filtering of payment types that are not supported by the selected court – for example: if a court doesn’t accept Amex cards, that payment type would not be available and therefore prevents a filing error.
